Emminent Life-changing

So in one week I will be off to a new land, full of magical wonders, different languages, and new colors. The time has come for me to go on a traineeship. For those that don't know me my name if Jeffery Davis ( Jr. - but only to those close to me ), and I've been an Aiesecer for 5 years now and have taught and preached these "traineeships" for awhile now. Well now that I actually have the opportunity to go, I can honestly say it's kinda bittersweet. Granted I will only be gone for 6 months I feel an overwhelming support from all those close to me , as well as a heighted sense of responsibility to do the "right" thing. And even still I can hide the "scariness" factor to it. As much as I want to grow and "branch" out into the world, I am scared of missing my family, my missy, and my great friends. Not knowing what lies around the corner can be the most frightening thing in the world...alas...se la vie. To this extent, I have found the utmost respect for anyone that has totally stepped out of their comfort zones and confronted their fears, including traineeships. Fear is part of life, but challenging that and fighting the good fight is what makes life "chouette'" ( sweet-ish in French ).

Anyway...I'm off in a week...February 7th, 2005. I'm currently taking French lessons to prepare myself better for Tunis, Tunisia ( thank you Carmen ! ).

To my Trainees : I will miss you all, don't get arrested or kicked out of the country before I get back !

To my LC's : Keep the passion buring ! Find a way to make Aiesec work ! I know you will all make me proud and most importanly YOURSELVES very proud. The pay off is profound.

To my Friends: You guys are the absolute greatest. I love you all and you will not be forgotten. For those in Chicago, especially....use my weblog and educate yourselves on Tunisia. ;)

To my Family: Thank you all for your endless support. I love you all very much. Mom,Dad,Jessica - you can come visit whenever ! ( Mom, I'll be ok ! )

To the Girl of my Dreams: "Missing you" doesn't do justice to the void I already feel with your absence. I believe in our love and your support and beautiful smiles will help me cope with my stay and come back sooner. I love you with all my heart, soul, and spirit.

Superman is online now...and about to fly the coop. I'll see you all online.

Bonjour ! Adios ! Smell you all later.
